Shipping Policy

Thank you for shopping with Bay Avenue Candle Co. Every candle is hand-poured, labeled, and packaged with care in small batches from our studio in Homer, Alaska. We truly appreciate your support for small-batch, handmade work.
1. Processing Time
Because each candle is made to order or created in limited batches, please allow 3–5 business days for processing before shipment.
During busy seasons, new collection launches, or holidays, processing times may be slightly longer. You’ll receive an email confirmation with tracking information once your order ships.
2. Homer, Alaska: Shipping and Local Delivery
For customers located within 5 miles of our in-town studio in Homer, Alaska, we’re happy to offer $3 local delivery directly to your door. After the processing time has passed, expect a rapid delivery turnaround of 48 hours or less!
Deliveries are made by hand, not by carrier. If no one is available when we arrive, we will leave your order in a safe, visible location. Photo proof of delivery is available upon request.

Once a package has been delivered we are not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage that occurs after drop-off.

This option is only available to Homer addresses located within the 5-mile delivery radius. Orders placed outside this area using the local delivery option will not be processed by the website check-out system.

Tracking will not be provided, but you will receive an email notification when your order has been delivered.
Our $100 free shipping threshold applies to local deliveries too: spend $100 or more and we’ll bring it right to your door at no cost. Local delivery is available for addresses within the 5-mile radius of downtown Homer only.
3. United States: Flat Rate Shipping and Delivery
We currently ship within the United States only. Alaska residents outside the 5-mile Homer delivery zone must also use United States standard flat rate shipping.
All orders are shipped using USPS Priority Mail Medium Flat Rate Boxes. Shipping costs are applied at checkout based on the flat rate set by USPS.
Orders over $100 ship free!
Estimated delivery time follows USPS Priority Mail standards, typically 3–7 business days.
Please note that since we are located in Alaska, delivery may occasionally take slightly longer due to distance, weather conditions, or seasonal carrier delays.
4. Packaging and Safety
All orders are packaged securely with packing peanuts and protective wrapping to keep your candles safe during transit. Candles are made of glass, and while we take every precaution, accidents can happen. If your order arrives damaged, please contact us right away (see Section 6).
For larger orders, it’s possible that your shipment may be divided into multiple boxes to ensure everything arrives safely.
5. Order Tracking
Once your order has shipped, you’ll receive a confirmation email containing your tracking number. Tracking information may take up to 24 hours to update after your order is scanned by the carrier.
6. Incorrect Addresses
Please double-check your shipping address before placing your order. If a package is returned due to an incorrect address, the buyer is responsible for re-shipping costs.
If you notice an error right after ordering, contact us immediately at bayavenuecandleco@gmail.com, and we’ll do our best to fix it before shipping.
7. Lost or Damaged Packages
Once a package leaves our studio, it is in the hands of the shipping carrier. Bay Avenue Candle Co. is not responsible for packages that are lost, delayed, or damaged during transit.
If your package arrives damaged, please email us within 7 days of delivery with clear photos of the damaged items and packaging. We will gladly work with you to replace the damaged item or assist with a carrier claim.
8. Pickup
We do not currently offer local pickup. All orders are shipped directly from our studio in Homer, Alaska.
9. International Shipping
At this time, we do not offer international shipping. We hope to expand in the future.
